About 100 Dinners
In October 2026 I had the idea to throw a group dinner party at my friends' Egyptian restaurant here in Chicago. I figured it would be a cool opportunity to get 10-12 people together for a fun night out, while exposing them to the restaurant's delicious food that I'd already come to love. And then something unexpected happened.
Word started to spread, friends invited more friends, and by the morning of the dinner 43 people had signed up to attend. Instead of taking up one big table, we ended up taking over the entire restaurant.
Needless to say it was an amazing night (shout out to Cairo Kebab). And reflecting on the event the next day, I thought to myself: "What would happen if I hosted 100 of these dinners? Who might I meet? How many connections could I help create? What impact could I have on our city's restaurants and communities?"
In that moment, the idea for 100 Dinners was born.
What is 100 Dinners?
100 Dinners is a series of big dinner parties where attendees enjoy interesting food with interesting people. Our curated events are designed to help people form meaningful, in-person connections while sampling a new world cuisine and hearing stories from restaurant owners, chefs, and fellow diners.
But it must be said that 100 Dinners isn’t just about eating great food and making great friends, although both absolutely happen at our events. Deep down, it's also about crafting unique cultural experiences that enrich your soul and satisfy your wanderlust from home.
How is 100 Dinners different?
There are other dinner series and supper clubs out there. Here's what makes 100 Dinners different:
- Bigger Events: Our dinners bring together 30+ people instead of 5-10. This gives you way more opportunities to meet people you actually click with.
- All-Inclusive Pricing: Our event tickets include the entire experience — food, drinks, taxes, and gratuity. That means you can focus on having a great time instead of dreading the awkward bill-splitting at the end of dinner.
- One-of-a-Kind Access: At 100 Dinners, restaurant owners and chefs are a core part of the experience. Sample a wider selection of the menu and get to know the people and the stories behind every dish.
- Serendipitous Connections: We don't use an "AI matching algorithm" to decide who you should or shouldn't meet. We just bring together a diverse group of people who all show up with open minds and empty stomachs.
Who attends 100 Dinners?
100 Dinners is for anyone seeking new experiences or new connections. Since most of our events feature alcohol you should be 21+, but beyond that we don't have an upper age limit or a hidden agenda. Some people are excited about trying new foods, others about making new friends, others about meeting a potential date. And many are into all three.
I hope you'll join us at an event soon.
